You're killin' me, boyz. You're freaking killin' me!
Do I need to put away the Pewter and Red that has come to signify Bucs teams that are perennial contenders? Do I store the blazing red battle flag and instead drag Bucco Bruce and the Creamsicle Color Scheme from the deep dark recesses of a history best left forgotten? If John McKay were here, he'd be calling for the execution of the offense, all right.
My only relief from this dismal state of affairs is the knowledge that that Chiefs are also 0-3, which means my co-workers have no ammo with which to pelt me. Small favors, and all that.
Yeesh.
Found out this morning that
Where Time Stands Still is now available in
Adobe Reader format from
Amazon.com. No more holdin' out, excuse-makers!
My boyz are still navigatin' some rough waters. It took two quarterbacks to end up losing to the 'hawks 10-6. Defense is playing their usual brand of ball, while the offense continues to search for the end zone. Somebody send these guys a map and compass, please.
In more pleasant news, I'm happy to report that
Where Time Stands Still is now available in
Microsoft Reader format from
Amazon.com. Sweet!
Awwwwwwwww yeah! Found out this evening that my latest collaboration with
Kevin for the
Star Trek: S.C.E. series,
Where Time Stands Still, is now available in
Palm OS format from
eReader.com.
In addition to being a followup to our three-part
Foundations storyline, it's also a sequel to "The Time Trap" from the animated
Star Trek series. How can you resist that?
Not a promising start for my Bucs. Offense? What offense? They were about as effective as an umbrella in a carwash. Defense? Well, if you count not allowing more than 20 points as being good, you're probably right. The only problem is that you have to score
more points than the other team if you want to win. Take note of that for next week, boys.
Issue #152 of the
Star Trek Communicator magazine is about to hit shelves. Included in this issues contents is an article by Matthew Saunders that goes "behind the scenes" of this year's
A Time to... series. The piece includes quotes by all the authors and editors involved, and provides a nice little overview of the 9-book series. The magazine should be hitting shelves any day now.
Also hitting shelves is Issue #604 of the revamped
Amazing Stories magazine, which features the second cover story by
Kevin. This time he's got all the scoop on
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, including lots of juicy info direct from Kerry and Kevin Conran, the men behind the movie!
The good folks over at
Palm Digital Media have finally released
Tales of the Dominion War in their
Palm OS e-Book format. Yay, team!
Received an invitation to attend the launch party for the second annual edition of
Kansas City Voices, an arts and literary magazine featuring stories, poems, and artwork from writers and artists living in the Kansas City area. I have a short story, "Absent Friends," which will be featured in the issue. The magazine hits stands in early November, and the party is set for Saturday, October 30th, from 2-4pm at the Central Resource Library in Overland Park, Kansas. If you're in the area, try to stop by and say "Howdy!"
