The contracts are signed and executed. The first check has been mailed and cashed. The only thing left for me to do is actually, you know, write the book.

What book, you ask? Well, I'm not really able to say just yet. Why? Because my editor hasn't really said much about it yet, and I don't want to spoil his fun. Hopefully he'll spill the beans one of these days so I can be properly pumped and stuff.

What can I tell you about it? Well, if you liked The Last World War, you might like this new one, as it's meant to appeal to the same kind of folks. We've got ourselves another bunch of Marines, and they are indeed facing off against some weird, SF-ish creatures right here on good old modern-day Earth. Think Jurassic Park (though without the dinosaurs) mixed with Predator and mix in a little bit of Southern Comfort for flavor, and you have the TV Guide description.
