Started writing the first chapter of a new book today. I'm really not at liberty to provide too many specifics just yet, but I can tell you a couple of things:

1. It's not a Star Trek book.


2. I'm writing it solo.


3. It's science fiction with a military bent, but it's not a sequel to The Last World War.

On that last point, I'm almost done (I swear!) with the outline for the sequel. Honest.

As far as Trek-stuff is concerned, the next thing you'll see from me is the short story I wrote with Kevin, "Field Expediency," for Tales of the Dominion War, which will debut at the Shore Leave convention the weekend of July 9-11 in Baltimore. After that, it's our eighth collaboration for the S.C.E. series, Where Time Stands Still.

Wow. I think I'm taking to this "Dear Diary" stuff way too easy, don't you?
