Got word from Star Trek: S.C.E. editor Keith DeCandido that he's sending on to Paramount our proposal for what will (hopefully) be Corps of Engineers #1, with a final title yet to be approved. I don't expect that we'll hear back from the licensing folks for a while yet, particularly with the holidays bearing down on us. That's okay, as Kevin and I have plenty to keep us busy in the interim, with two manuscripts (one short story as well as Distant Early Warning) due during the first couple of weeks in January. Additionally, I have three other short stories I want to write before year's end, each for different markets.

Somewhere along with all of that, I'll have to work, shop for Christmas, rake leaves, and fly to Florida for Thanksgiving.
