Thunderous annotations.

Click here to read more about Summon the Thunder

Finally, I've gotten around to posting a set of annotations for Summon the Thunder. There, you'll find notes about various continuity references we dropped in, as well as explanations for assorted in-jokes and other nonsense sprinkled throughout the book.

It goes without saying that the page contains spoilers for the book, as well as for Distant Early Warning and the first Vanguard book, Harbinger. If you've not read the books and wish to keep some surprises unrevealed until you've done so, tread carefully. You've been warned.

Comments:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your Blog/Live Journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.

Beside her, on a chair, was the missing dress. In front of her, on the table was the missing ring. She said quietly, "Hallo, Harry."

The gin bottle clinked on the edge of the glass as Vera got herself a drink.

From Number 96: The Sins of Harry Collins (1974) by Marina Campbell.

No cheating, I swear. My "Number 96" paperbacks were the closest to the computer. it was either one of them, or "The Macquarie Dictionary", and I figured KRAD expected it to be fiction.

I hereby tag:

::Thanks for the annotations for Summon the Thunder.::

No sweat.

::I think I am one of the few who like these. It helps explain some things and adds a touch of extra insight into the story and characters.::

I enjoy reading them, but've only ever done them for a couple of my stories, mostly because I never figured anybody was *that* interested in reading that sort of thing for our stuff. I only did these because I got a handful of requests for them.
